2.What is the difference between a gunite and a vinyl pool?
Swimming pools can be constructed in any shape or size you can think of. They are catagorized in the pool industry by the materials they are made of. The two most common types of pools are gunite and vinyl. A gunite pool is made from a slurry of cement and stone which is sprayed onto the main structure and walls of the pool- usually made of wood reinforced with steel, for a hard surfaced and sturdy pool. Gunite pools are generally one solid color often built with patterned tile coping or walls. Vinyl pools are pool structures which has walls made out a strong material such as aluminum, which is then covered in durable liner made out of Polyvinyl Chloride (vinyl). Vinyl Liner pools are generally vibrant in color and often have elegant designs and patterns either all-over the pool or around the water line. They both have their advantages but the biggest difference is the cost. Either way, Sparkling Pools can help you find the right pool for you. Click Here for more information.
